Hello fellow adsmers,

Last night our ver 215 adsm server on aix 414 decided not to backup any
machines.

Upon investigating this morning in the dsmsched.log file the following message
appears
"ANS4364E Session Rejected: The server does not have enough recovery log space
to allow a connection to be established."

According to the adsm messages manual it says that this is a temporary message
and you must retry later ?

It kept trying every 20 minutes throughout the whole night with no success.
When I logged into the machine I found that the system was behaving
erractically and when trying to list "lssrc -a " active daemons, it said
"srcmstr not running".After halting and restarting the adsm server I could then
not log in at all to adsm.

I ended up powering off and on the machine and then everything seemed to be
okay.

My conclusion is that "something nasty" happened on the machine (errpt not
helpfull) which affected aix and hence affected ADSM.

I just want to ask if anybody has more info about the recoverylog space message
above ? Our log is only about 3% utilized so it can't be running out of space.

Thanks.
