Hi Ann,

You mentioned that you selected retrieve files from a
node backup. Retrieve is used for files that you archived,
not backed up. For backups, you need to use the restore
function.

Also with archive/retrieve, there is no concept of active
or inactive versions.

Which client is this? For Win32 clients that contain
international characters in their file names, there was a
problem in 3.1.0.5 where the directory would display, but
the files would not display. In this case, the problem is
fixed in 3.1.0.6.

Otherwise it would be helpful if you could provide an
example of what you are doing, including the command line
QUERY you are using to display the files, the output of
the QUERY, and the mouse clicks and other actions you are
performing on the GUI to try to display the files.

Best regards,

Andy

"The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked."

Hello,
I looked thru online doc/book directions on recovering a file using
 the
Client - GUI version 3.15. and thought I was following directions but...
The backup or archive files will not display.

. Logged on as correct node with passwd
. Selected retrieve files (from a node backup - these files are active)
. I've tried view with both active and inactive files, display active only
But, Files will not display
Message appears loading 350 files but files never display.

What did I miss? What else must be set?
I know the active files are there cause I can see them with a q backup in
dsmc.

Thanks in advance
