No, no false advertisement. It's a bug. The APAR is IC19083. This should be
fixed in the latest PTF, IP21284, available from the ftp site
index.storsys.ibm.com under the /adsm/fixes/v2r1/agents directory structure.

Subject: Notes connect agent dilemma
I have installed and configured the ADSM Lotus notes Connect agent on a NT
notes server and performed document level backups OK.
Question is: What is the expected procedure to be able to RESTORE document
level data after a nightly incremental backup has been performed on the
selected DB. If a backup of the database has not been performed then the
deleted document is available to restore from the GUI ( the way that makes
sense), But if the database goes thru a backup the deletion stubs are removed
and the GUI deleted document restore does not function.
The deleted files should be marked in ADSM as inactive, but why wont the
Connect agent allow the restore if inactive files, like the other ADSM clients
do?
Any help is appreciated, Can IBM help clear up what appears to be false
advertisement with the Notes Connect agent or have I missed how to make it
work properly.
