I'm new to libraries and multiple tape drives, and I'm seeing something
that doesn't make sense to me.

Environment -
        four DLT-7000 tape drives
        STK 9710 library
        ADSM 2.1.5.13 running on AIX 4.2.1

        No co-location

Why would I see five tapes for a storage pool in 'filling' status?
Better yet, why is it that one of them was last written on 11-1 and
shows 0.0% usage?

None of the tapes show errors.

I've had this twice now - I gave up on the tape that wasn't being used
and did a move data to get off of it two days ago.

Oh, yeah - this is an archive storage pool, if that makes any
difference.
