My primary backup storage pool is a string of discs. When the migration
limit is hit files get moved to a tape storage pool (DLT4700, single
drive). To ensure I always have multiple copies of the file I want to
make use of the copy storage pools facility. I may be missing somthing
quite obvious in the documentation but a still have a few questions:

* To ensure that the primary disc pool is safe is it work making a copy
of it to a copy pool for recover in the event of a disc failure.

* Can I use a tape copy pool to make a copy of the primary disc storage
pool? The documentation appears to imply not.

* If yes can I make use of the above copy in the event that a tape
files have been migrated to gets destroyed? From the documentation it
appears not. If I can't use this mechanism then I assume I have to have
at least two identical tape drives to make a tape copy pool.

* When a file gets deleted from the ADSM server, e.g. file does not
exist on users workstation and the grace period has expired, does the
copy pool version have to be available for it to complete or can the
copy pool version be off-site.

* What schemes do you have in operation in the event of a disaster like
disc/tape or data integrity failure and have they proved successful if
you have had to use them?

Thanks,
